At Tilleys Motorcycles, we want every customer to have complete confidence when buying a new or used motorcycle from us. This page explains the warranty cover included with your purchase and how to make a claim if you ever need support.


New Motorcycle Warranty

All new motorcycles purchased from us come with the full manufacturer warranty. Warranty length varies by brand and model, but typically includes:

  • Parts & labour coverage

  • Mechanical and electrical fault protection

  • Anti‑corrosion warranty (varies by manufacturer)

  • Roadside assistance (where applicable)

What’s Covered

  • Manufacturing defects

  • Mechanical or electrical faults not caused by misuse

  • Components that fail within the warranty period

  • Faults confirmed by our workshop or the manufacturer

What’s Not Covered

  • Wear and tear items (tyres, brake pads, chains, bulbs, etc.)

  • Damage caused by accidents, misuse or neglect

  • Incorrect maintenance or missed servicing

  • Modifications affecting reliability or performance

  • Cosmetic damage after collection

Servicing Requirements

To keep your warranty valid, your motorcycle must be serviced in line with the manufacturer’s schedule. We can carry out all servicing in‑house.


Used Motorcycle Warranty

All used motorcycles come with a standard warranty, the length of which varies depending on the bike.

What’s Included

Every used motorcycle receives:

  • Full mechanical inspection

  • Road test

  • Safety check

  • MOT (if due)

  • Basic service (if required)

What the Used Warranty Covers

  • Major mechanical faults

  • Major electrical faults

  • Components that fail unexpectedly (not wear items)

What’s Not Covered

  • Wear and tear

  • Consumables

  • Damage caused after purchase

  • Modifications or aftermarket tuning

Making a Warranty Claim

If you believe your motorcycle has developed a fault:

  1. Contact us immediately Provide your registration number, mileage and a description of the issue.

  2. We’ll assess the fault We may ask you to bring the motorcycle to our workshop for inspection.

  3. Warranty approval We’ll confirm whether the repair is covered under your warranty.

  4. Repair work All warranty repairs must be carried out by us unless otherwise agreed.

We aim to resolve all warranty issues quickly and with minimal inconvenience.
